With heavy hearts and treasured memories, we announce the passing of Glenn Wayne Coyle, who departed this world on July 25, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on July 13, 1954, in Tulsa, OK, Glenn’s journey through life was one marked by love, devotion, and a boundless spirit that touched the lives of all who had the good fortune to know him.
Glenn’s story is one deeply intertwined with family and kinship. A beloved father, he leaves behind his three children: Angela Redden (Alan), Shannon Coyle, and Melia Coyle, each of whom carries a piece of his gentle wisdom and steadfast affection. A beloved grandfather, he leaves behind his 8 grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, and called him PaPa affectionately. They continue walking the path he helped light, finding strength in his enduring example.
Family was woven into the very fabric of Glenn's life. He is mourned and cherished by his brothers, Paul (JoAnn), Jay (Shirley), Marshall (Maria), Bill (Deloris), and Ricky Coyle, and his sisters, Georgia Boudreaux, Gloria Burton (Wes), and Glenda Goodman (Buster). To his siblings, Glenn was not merely a brother—he was a comforting presence, always on the move yet forever returning, ensuring family bonds did not fray with distance. In his travels as a fruit peddler, which took him from coast to coast, Glenn made a point to stop and reconnect with family whenever he could. He believed that connection made life richer, and he took great care to ensure nieces and nephews truly knew their “UNK,” a title he carried with pride and warmth.
His legacy also lives on in the stories and laughter he inspired in every household he visited, and in the hearts he comforted. Glenn's door was always open—to family in need of a guiding word, to friends who required shelter or companionship, and to neighbors who simply needed a friend. He was “PaPa” to many, well beyond the boundaries of blood, for his compassion and generosity extended far and wide.
Fond remembrance goes to those gone before him: his cherished wife, Deanna Coyle, whose memory Glenn honored daily. He had only one love in his lifetime and it was her; grandchildren Jayson Dearman and Joshua Coyle, whose lives, though brief, were touched by the love of their grandfather; his sister Cheri Coyle, and his brother-in-law MC Boudreaux. Their absence was keenly felt, and Glenn carried them gently in his heart.
Professionally, Glenn's work as a fruit peddler was more than an occupation; it was an adventure and an opportunity to connect. Each mile on the road became a new story, each stop a chance to share a laugh or offer help. His years selling fruit across the country allowed him to build a patchwork of memories, stories, and friendships, forever solidifying his reputation as a man driven by kindness and curiosity.
To the world, Glenn Wayne Coyle was a traveling man and a hardworking provider; but to his family and those blessed to call him friend, he was the steady presence in storm and sunshine alike. His kindness, open-heartedness, and commitment to those he loved will echo on, shaping generations to come.
Though Glenn has left this earthly home, his memory burns bright in every heart he’s touched. His legacy is not only in the stories shared and the love he gave, but in the relentless hope that every journey—no matter how long—always leads back to family.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
